2. Reaction because it created a new battle strategy for the Union Army.
3. Reform because it brought a newfound winning streak to the Union Army which resulted in the North winning the Civil War.
The Civil War was one of the most important moments of American history.
- American citizens fought each other for the right to govern the country in the way they thought it should be.
- At stake was the rights of slaves and unification of the country.
- A victory by the Confederate Army would have led to secession of the South.
- A victory by the Union Army would ensure a single country.
